PIKE, Norman Davis\ Of Fairgrove, age 70 died Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at his home. Norman was born October 12, 1936 in Fairgrove the son of Mr. and Mrs. Davis and Helen (Miller) Pike. \ \ He and Mary A. Humm were united in marriage on Nov. 10, 1956 in Fairgrove. \ He retired from Saginaw Steering Geer as an inspector after 30 years of service. He also worked on the family farm. \ He enjoyed farming, polka music, NASCAR, and tractor pulling. \ \ He was a member of the Fairgrove Presbyterian Church where he served as Trustee. \ \ Surviving is his wife of 50 years, Mary Pike of Fairgrove;\ Children, Robert Pike, \ Barbara Hanley,\ Brian Pike;\ Grandchildren, Nathan and Megan Pike,\ Lauren and Tyler Hanley;\ 3 sisters-in-law Hazel Crawford, Roma Lee Campbell, Alice Vollmar;\ numerous nieces and nephews. \ He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Dean in 1969. \ \ Funeral services will be held 11:00am Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at the Fairgrove Presbyterian Church with Pastor Rich Lawther officiating. Burial will be at Brookside Cemetery. Family will be present to receive friends at the Martin Funeral home in Fairgrove 2-6pm Sunday and 6-9 pm Monday. Tuesday morning Norman will be taken to church where friends may call from 10am until time of service at 11am. \ Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to Fairgrove Presbyterian Church Window Fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and at church. \ \
