Obituary of Garry Lee Howe

Howe, Garry Lee age 64 of Lake Wales, Florida died Thursday, April 26, 2007 at the Moffitt Cancer Center at the University of Florida, Tampa. Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 4, 2007 at 11:00am at the Miles Martin Funeral Home with Pastor Michael VanDenberg officiating, and burial in Flint Memorial Park. Garry's family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 7:00pm to 9:00pm, on Thursday from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and from 7:00pm to 9:00pm, and on Friday from 10:00am until time of service at 11:00am. Memorial donations may be considered to the Moffitt Cancer Center, envelopes are available at the funeral home. A memorial service in Florida will be announced at a later date.\ \ Garry was born June 30, 1942 the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth and Agnes (Harvath) Howe. He and Phyllis Fox-Drier were united in marriage on August 1, 1980. Garry worked as a Supervisor at GM Truck and Bus for 30 years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of the Federation of Manufactured Homeowners, where he served a variety of positions, the last being Vice President, a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lake Wales, and a lifetime member of the NRA. \ \ Garry leaves to cherish his memory: wife Phyllis, 6 children:\ Cheryl Sue and husband Fred Guest, Maria Lee and Dr. James DeGeurce, Ricky Lee Howe, Matthew Lee and wife Denise Howe, Julie Lee Howe, and Gary Lee Howe, 6 grandchildren Anthony and wife Beth Guest, Shelli and husband Andrew Booth, Christyna and husband James Morris, Dennis Drier and Stephanie Metz, Rachel Tobias and fiancAA Josh Thompson, and Brandon Tobias, 8 great grandchildren, sister Janet Lindsey, brother Jim and wife Eileen Howe, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. \ \
