Obituary of Bartholomew Ray Drake

Age 24, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 18, 2007, in Alpena. \ \ Bartholomew Drake was born to Sandra and Ray Drake on December 29, 1982. He graduated from Alpena High School in 2002. He was a 2007 graduate of Alpena Community College. He was a member of the Alpena Civic Theater and the Alpena Community Players. He was active with Immanuel Lutheran Church where he was a member. He enjoyed acting, was a music enthusiast, and loved his family very much. \ \ Surviving are his father: Ray Drake and Teresa Bodoh of Alpena, his grandparents Marvin and Jean Hecht, grandmother Bertha Mae Drake, Uncles Gary M. and Renee Hecht, Dr. James and Myrna Bishop, his cousins Craig and Andy Bishop, Malachi, Garrison, and ReAnna Hecht, he will be greatly missed by an enormous extended family and many friends. \ He was preceded in death by his mother Sandra Drake, and his grandfather Cecil Drake.\ \ Services will be held Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Richville at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Pastor Rob Gadeken and Pastor Wes Gillaspie with a private committal at a later time at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Family will be welcoming friends and loved ones at Martin Funeral Home, Tuesday, May 22, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. He will be taken to lie in state at the church from 10:00am until 11:00am the day of service. \ \ Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association; envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church.\
