Martha AaEMartyAaa Gonda Buckley, age sixty five, passed away at Covenant Cooper Hospital in Saginaw after acute respiratory failure with cancer. She passed peacefully surrounded by her family and friends.\ \ Predeceased by husband Robert, Marty is survived by four sons: Mike and wife Julie of Ann Arbor, Doug and wife Charlotte of Vassar, Dennis of Huntington Beach, CA and John and girlfriend Andrea of Vassar, grandchildren: Patrik, Veronika, Andrew, Rodger, Brandon and Mark. Marty is predeceased by sister Anna Scott and survived by her sister Dorothy Williams and brother Matt Gonda. Marty is also survived by her one hundred year old mother, Esther Gonda, whom she cared for. \ \ Marty proudly served for the Frankenmuth Bavarian Inn for 43 years. Marty attended Chadwick school on Walton Road where she helped organize the Chadwick School reunions. Marty graduated from Vassar High School in 1960. Marty and Bob married in 1962, were married thirty three years, until Bob passed away in 1995.\ \ Marty was a busy, active person, always hosting the Easter, MotherAaas Day and Christmas dinners for her friends and family. Marty always made that extra effort in preparing food for any family occasion. \ \ Marty loved people and loved to socialize. She was an ambassador of good will in her career at the Inn. Marty always had time for a big smile and a chat.\ \ Visitation will be held Monday, June 18, 2007 from 6pm until 9pm, Tuesday from 10am until 9pm, and also on Wednesday from 11am until the time of service. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at Martin Funeral Home Vassar Chapel at 12:30pm officiated by Pastor Mary Edgington, with burial to follow in Tuscola Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Marty would appreciate a donation to your local hospice organization. \
