Of Vassar and Missoula, Montana, age 60 died Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at St. Mary's Hospital in Saginaw. Charles was born January 1, 1947 in Saginaw, the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Lee and Edna (Lockhart) Miller. Charles was employed for the last 20 years in Missoula, Montana as a diesel mechanic. He moved to Vassar in December 2006 to be closer to his family as he battled cancer. Charles was an avid hunter and enjoyed collecting guns. Surviving are two daughters, Kim (Steve) Martin of St. Johns and and Amy (Jerry) Konefko of Saginaw; grandchildren Courtney, Morgan, and Danielle Martin; Sisters Bonnie L. (James) Heidenberger, Janet K. (Mike) Herrington and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves his faithful cat Bee Gee. Charles was preceded in death by his parents and sister Joanne M.VanHorn. Memorial Services will be held 1 pm Thursday, June 21, 2007 at the Martin Funeral Home in Vassar with Pastor Fred Smolchuck, Jr. officiating. Family will be present to receive friends from 10am-1pm Thursday at the Martin Funeral Home in Vassar. Those desiring, may consider memorial contributions to the Family Discretionary Fund Envelopes are available at the funeral home.\
