Of Vassar, age 79 died Monday, October 8, 2007 at Covenant Health Care-Harrison in Saginaw with her family at her side. Mary was born March 4, 1928 in Mt. Clemens, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William and Maria ( Mueller ) Carl. She and Roy Harms were united in marriage on June, 5, 1947 in Mt. Clemens. Mary worked along with her husband at Harms Food Mart Top of the Hill Vassar. Mary enjoyed knitting, cross- stitching , reading and camping throughout Michigan. She also loved wintering in Mission ,Texas. \ \ Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 60 years Roy Harms of Vassar, 5 children: Nancy Ramey and husband Bill of Saginaw, Jim Harms and wife Shelly of Colby, Kansas, Betty Sharar and husband Jim of Vassar and Dave Harms and wife Jeri of Elizabeth, Colorado, Cheryl and husband Al Goodman of Vassar, 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren with two on the way and a sister Matilda Juett of Utica. She was preceded in death by her parents and son Bernard. \ \ Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, October 12, 2007 at Martin Funeral Home Vassar Chapel. Family will be present to receive \ friends at the Martin Funeral Home in Vassar from 1:00pm until 4:00pm and from 6:00pm until 9:00pm on Thursday, October 11, 2007. On Friday morning family will receive visitors from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00am. Cremation to follow. Memorial Contributions may be considered to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
