LAWRENCE, Betty Mae\ \ Of Whittemore, age 87, died Thursday, November 1, 2007 at Lakeview Manor in Tawas City. The funeral service will take place 11:00am, Monday, November 5, 2007 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor David Burkett will officiate with burial to follow in Mt. Morris Cemetery. Family will greet friends and loved ones from 1:00pm until 8:00pm Sunday and Monday from 9:00am until the time of service at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Hale Area Fish. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.\ \ Betty was born October 17, 1920 in Flint, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Irving and Olive (Lewis) Carpenter. She and Holden Lawrence were united in marriage April 18, 1938 in Indiana. She was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, originally joining in May of 1944. Prior to moving to Harrison she was a member of the Mt. Morris Twp. Ladies Fire Auxillary. She recently volunteered for the Hale Area Fish Shop in Hale, Michigan. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, the 'Hale Red Tamales'. \ \ Those left to cherish her memory are her son Richard and Dona Lawrence and 2 daughters Jean and Bud James and Janet and John Cronin, 7 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, sister-in-law Barbara Carpenter and many nieces and nephews.\ \ She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years Holden Lawrence, parents Mr. Irving and Mrs. Olive Mae(Lewis)Carpenter and her brother Douglas Carpenter.\ LAWRENCE, Betty Mae\ \ Of Whittemore, age 87, died Thursday, November 1, 2007 at Lakeview Manor in Tawas City.
