SMITH, Maureene \ \ Of Mt. Morris, age 78, died Monday, November 12, 2007 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. The funeral service will take place 11:00am, Friday, November 16, 2007 at the First Church of Nazarene. Pastor Steve Hittle will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Maureene's family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00pm until 9:00pm, 9:00am until 9:00pm on Thursday, on Friday Maureene will be taken to lie in state at the church from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church.\ \ Maureene was born September 14, 1929 in Booth Point, Tennessee the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jess and Lula (Nannie) Owens. She and Earsel Smith were united in marriage August 17, 1948 in Pickett, Arkansas. He preceded her in death August 6, 1994. \ \ Left to cherish her memory are her children; Jo Theresa and husband David Prevost of Clio, Sheila and husband Scott Sauve of Clio, Earsel Glen Smith of Mt. Morris, Bruce and wife Kim Smith of Warren, nine grandchildren; David II, Dalana (Mike) Puckett, Tina (Dave), Jason, Chad, Jordan, Andrew, Traci (Mark) Kaiser, 4 great grandchildren Mercedes, Tylor, Alexis, Ava Jolee, brother, Jess Owens, Jr., sister, Burlon Flowers, and many nieces and nephews and special niece Patricia (Jack) Reynolds.\ \ Maureene was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 46 years Earsel and brother, Shelton Owens.\
