Of Mt. Morris, age 86, died Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at Maple Woods Manor in Clio. The funeral service will take place 2:00pm, Friday, November 16, 2007 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mount Morris. Burial to follow in Thetford Township Cemetery with Graveside Military Honors. William's family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Friday from 11:00 am until the time of service at 2:00pm. On Thursday evening a Masonic Memorial Service will take place at 7:00 pm conducted under the auspices of the Mt. Morris Masonic Lodge #535 F.&A.M. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the WWII Memorial Fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. \ \ William was born August 10, 1921 in Mt. Morris, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. George and Rhea (Serven) Goodman. He and Evelyn C. Curtis were united in marriage September 14, 1940. She preceded him in death January 15, 2001. William proudly served his country with the US Navy during World War II on the USS Bingham in the South Pacific. His career would lead him to the automotive industry where he worked as a draftsman for AC-Rochester for 40 years prior to his retirement. William was a member of the Mt. Morris Masonic Lodge #535 F.&A.M. \ \ Left to cherish his memory are his children; Suzanne and husband Ron Utica of Mt. Morris, Barbara and husband Jack Smith of Birch Run, Linda and husband Tom Glowski of Otisville, And Billie Dawn and husband Daniel Simmonds of Otisville, 13 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 1 great great-grandchild brother, Richard B. and wife Helen Goodman of Mt. Morris, sister, Betty Beckley of Lapeer,\ and many nieces, nephews and friends. \ \ William was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Evelyn, infant son William, Daughter Diane Roberson, brother, Elbern and sisters; Rena, Phyllis and Bonnie, brother-in-law Russel Beckley.\
