Age 82, of Flint, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Regency of Grand Blanc with her family by her side. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will take place at 2:00pm, Saturday, April 13, 2024, at New Beginnings Missionary Church. Reverend Michael Brown officiating. Expressions of sympathy may be placed on Sally’s tribute wall at martinfuneralhome.com.

Sally was born in Flint on November 26, 1941, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon and Ella Mae (Taylor) Barrow. Educated locally, she attended Swartz Creek High School. On May 28, 1965, Sally married Dennis Maher. Sadly, he preceded her in death on April 16, 2006. Sally worked for AC Spark Plug until she had her children. She then stayed home and raised them until they entered high school. At that time, she went back into the working field where she held many positions in retail, restaurants, and group homes. Taking care of people was her passion. She played a huge role in raising her grandchildren throughout their childhood. Sally was an active member of New Beginning Missionary Church in Mt. Morris for many years. In her younger years, Sally enjoyed going clogging with her sister, traveling to Northern Michigan, and canoeing down the Au Sable River. Sally loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed traveling down South to visit her relatives. One of Sally’s favorite hobbies was going thrifting and to garage sales. She passed that passion down to her daughter and granddaughters. She also enjoyed spending time at the casino in Standish. Sally was a lover of animals and any stray that showed up at her door was never turned away. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all.

Left to cherish Sally's memory are her children: Mark Maher, Dana and husband, Terry Smith; grandchildren: Ryan, Kelci, Hailey; beloved sister: Glenda Dipzinski; special cousin, Estelle Coons; nieces: Kellie, Kim, and Tracey; nephew, Brett, and many close friends.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents: and siblings: Gibb Barrow, Maurice Borrow, and Betty Swerden.
