Obituary of Aldah Reed

Of Mt. Morris, age 88, died Friday, November 30, 2007 at Brians House Hospice in Davison. The funeral service will take place 11:00am, Monday, December 3, 2007 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor Steven Lockman will officiate with burial to follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Aldah's family will be present to receive friends on Saturday from 7:00pm to 9:00pm, Sunday from 12:00 noon to 8:00 pm and Monday from 10:00am until the time of service at 11am. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the Krapohl Senior Center or Emanuel Lutheran Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. \ \ Aldah was born December 4, 1918 in Montrose, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard and Bertha (Kuehn) Huggins. She and Richard Reed were united in marriage July 19, 1941. He preceded her in death February 1, 1988. She was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church in Flint, the Krapohl Senior Center in Mt. Morris and a past member of the East Flint Lions Club.\ \ Left to cherish her memory are her children; Larry and wife Donna Reed of Bauxite, Arkansas, Linda Cronenvhet of St. Helen, Robert and wife Penny Reed of Caseville,\ Gayle I. Reed of Mt. Morris, ten grandchildren, Cory and Andrew Reed, Amanda and Kenneth Brendel, Joseph, Kelly, and Edward Maurina, Carol Zimmerman, Tracey and Troy Cronenvhet, 12 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law; Alma Reed of Phoenix, Arizona, two nieces, two nephews, a host of informally adopted family and her many friends at the Krapohl Senior Center, special friend Helen Zwiercan, and her loving cats, Henry, George and Heshe. \ \ Aldah was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard, brother, Arthur Huggins, two half sisters, Evelyn Sherman and Viola Wendell and son-in-law, Larry Cronenvhet.\
