Obituary of Paul Henry Knickerbocker

Age 80, of Mt. Morris, died December 1, 2007, at Hurley Medical Center. The funeral service will take place 11:00am, Thursday, December 6, 2007 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Rev. Walter David will officiate with burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Family will greet friends on Tuesday from 6:00pm until 9:00pm, Wednesday from 1:00pm to 5:00pm and from 6:00pm to 9:00pm and on Thursday from 9:00am until time of service at 11:00am.\ \ Those desiring may direct memorial contributions the American Lung Association or the American Heart Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. \ \ Paul was born May 21, 1927 in Mt. Morris, the son Mr. and Mrs. John W. and Mildred (Hilsinger) Knickerbocker. He worked for at Dupont for 20 years and spent his entire life on the family farm; it was his passion, passing it on to his son who is the fifth generation. \ \ Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, Doreen Knickerbocker, three Children; Karla (Mark) Salvatore of Texas, Jeffrey (Laurie) Knickerbocker of Mt. Morris, Kimberly (Steve) Jennings of Swartz Creek, seven grandchildren; Eric and Tara Salvatore of Texas, Shane, Adam and Nathan Dhooghe of Mt. Morris, Michael and Nicole Jennings of Swartz Creek, sister Phyllis Bentley of Swartz Creek and brother Donald (Bobbi) Knickerbocker of Florida. Several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Paul was preceded in death by parents, sister, Florence and brother, John.\
