Of Mt. Morris, age 84, passed away peacefully at home in the presence of loved ones on Sunday, December 9, 2007. Harold's funeral service will take place at 11:00 am Thursday, December 13, 2007 at the First Baptist Church of Mt. Morris. Pastor Tim Evans and Rev. Harold Polk will officiate with burial to follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Loved ones will greet friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Tuesday and Wednesday. On Thursday, Harold will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church.\ \ Harold is the son of the late George and Elsie Harburn and was born in Flint on September 16, 1923. He served in the US Army during World War II. He and his wife of 60 years, Margaret, were married on August 23, 1947. Harold retired after 20 years of employment with the US Postal Service. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be missed by many. \ \ Harold is survived by his wife Margaret; sons, George (Christy) of Clio, Charles (Robert Johannis) of Swartz Creek and Dennis of Mt. Morris; daughter, Kathy (Larry) Bieling of Penang, Malaysia; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and faithful dog, Bandit. The family expresses their gratitude to McLaren Hospice for their support. Harold was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Marian Brandvold and Ruth Henke.\
