Jerry was born in Paragould, Arkansas, on June 7, 1942, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Beryl James and Mildred Bernice (Russom) Roberts. Jerry received his Journeyman's license as a pipefitter, and shortly after, he began his career at General Motors working as a pipefitter for 40 years, until his retirement in June of 2000. Jerry met and married the love of his life, Pricilla Stallions, on June 22, 1962, Sadly, she preceded him in death on March 22, 2020. Jerry took great care of his beloved wife right up until the time of her death. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He took great pride in his grandchildren and loved to spend time with them at all of their sporting events, taking them on Easter Egg Hunts, trick-or-treating, doing flips, building Legos together, or just his weekly visits. They were the light of his life. Jerry was a member of Colonial Hills Baptist Church for over 50 years. He was a very intellectual man and enjoyed researching everything. Jerry was a car guy and was passionate about restoring classic cars. He has owned several classic cars over the years that he has done all the bodywork on as well as the beautiful paint jobs. Jerry was also a member of the Buick GS Club. He was known as a jack-of-all-trades as not only could he restore classic cars, but he built his family's home from the ground up. In his free time, Jerry enjoyed attending car shows, watching NASCAR, and reading car magazines. He was a wonderful man and will be greatly missed.
