Obituary of Gloria Jean Voelker
Age 86, of Flint, passed away Friday, May 5, 2023, in Fenton Health Care with her family by her side. A Celebration of Life will take place at 1:30 pm on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Martin Funeral, Cremation and Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Gloria’s family will be present to receive friends from 10:30 am until the time of service at 1:30. Gloria was born in Ashland, Wisconsin, on January 26, 1937, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hans and Leona (Anderson) Johnson. She was married to the love of her life Elmer Schultz. Gloria’s career path would lead her into the restaurant industry, where she worked as a waitress for many years, meeting many great people and forming lasting relationships.
In her free time, Gloria loved having rummage sales and going fishing with her children. She also enjoyed telling family stories about her past. Gloria was active with her church family. She also loved all things Mickey Mouse.
Gloria is survived by her sons: Todd Schultz and girlfriend, Tonya Baker, and Tim Schultz; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer: sons: Thomas Edward Schultz, Tony Leroy Schultz, and Troy Douglas Schultz: parents; and brother, Howard G. Johnson.
