Obituary of Alvina Scherman
Age 99, of Mt. Morris, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023, in Wellspring Lutheran Home. In accordance with Alvina's wishes, cremation has taken place; there are no further services scheduled at this time. Donations in honor of Alvina please send to Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Alvina was born in Roblin, Manitoba Canada on August 1, 1923, the daughter of August and Kuzema Zimmerman Kroll. Alvina was a Farmer for much of her life. Alvina was an avid camper, hunter, and fisherwoman. She was a long-time member of Emanuel Lutheran church since 1945. Alvina loved being around people. She was always willing to help out however she could.
Alvina is survived by Son(s): Allen and wife April Bartz, Dean and wife Tammy Bartz; Daughter Delores and husband Valerian "Val" Nowak; Brother: Walter and wife Edna Kroll; Sister-in-law: Wilma Kroll; Son-in-law Greg Harcz; step-daughters - Barbara Ann and husband Bill Vincent, Ellen and husband Robert Fisher; Grandchildren: Bradley and wife Tina Evans, Brian Evans, Bridget and Husband Mike Windy, Brandon Bartz and fiance Jenine, Adrienne Barnes, Andrea and husband Wes Tavegia, Christian Bartz, Kevin Bartz, Jody and Husband Gil Feliciano, Deanna Harcz, Julie and husband Andrew Lane; Great-grandchildren: Tyler, Dylan, Beatrice, Alice, Fern, David, Xander, Tylor, Dakota, Zachary, Nicholas, Lauren, Kaileigh, Lillie, Tinley,Paz, Paloma,and Jude; Step-grandchildren: Francis Vincent, Stephanie and husband Brian Russel, Bethany and husband Jason Helka, Micheal and Julie Vincent.
She was preceded in death by her First Husband: Herman Fredrick Bartz, Husband George Scherman; Brother Harold Kroll; Sisters: Bertha Parker; Daughter: Donna Harcz.
