Obituary of Judy Ann Letts
Age 74, of Vassar, passed away Monday, September 5, 2022, in Covenant Harrison. A memorial service will take place at 1:00 pm, Monday, September 12, 2022, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Vassar. Judy’s family will be present to receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm. Expressions of sympathy may be placed on Judy’s tribute page at martinfuneralhome.com.
Judy was born in Bay City on October 11, 1947, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Levere and Lillian (Fentner) Mead. Educated locally, Judy graduated from Vassar High School with the Class of 1965. After graduation, Judy went on to obtain her associate degree from Delta College in Phlebotomy. She worked at Bavarian Inn for several years and the American Red Cross as a Phlebotomist for several years until her retirement. Deciding retirement was not for her, Judy went to work at the Willow Springs Golf & Country Club in Vassar. During her high school years, Judy was a majorette and was so very proud of that. She enjoyed spending time roller skating with her friends and family in her younger years in Caro and in Vassar. Judy was a social butterfly and loved going to restaurants to visit with her many friends. To say she loved to travel would be a huge understatement. Judy was always on the go and loved to travel and go on cruises, with her favorite cruise being the one she went on with her children. She always talked about how much she loved the time she spent with them. Judy was an avid Bee Gee’s and Beatles fan. Above all else, Judy loved her grandchildren with all of her heart and will be greatly missed.
Judy is survived by her son, Dustin and wife, Tami Letts; daughter, Darcy Letts and significant other, Gordon Greer; grandchildren: Katie Lynn, Alexis, Destinee, Carter, Garon, Hannah, Jayke, Aaron, Cora; great-grandchild, Luella; siblings: Jimmie and wife, Ginger Mead, Vickie and husband, Larry Leo, Danny Mead; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents; son, Danlee "Boo" Mead; great-grandson, Liam Lamb; sister, LeaAnn Mead.
