Obituary of Marion I. Beach

Age 90, passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2008 at the home of her granddaughter in Reese surrounded by her family. She was born June 21, 1917 to Robert and Belle (French) Mac Farlane. She has been in the Fairgrove area her entire life. On August 10, 1936 she married Ralph Beach and they were together 59 years. He predeceased her in 1995. She is survived by two sons: Robert (Lois) Beach of Fairgrove, Duane (Dory) Beach of Caro, one daughter-in-law Judy Beach of Essexville.Eight granddaughters: Beth Ann (Scott) Asperger of Reese, Teresa (Tim) Graham of Bridgeport, Mitzi (Dan) Schwab of Bay City, Angela Beach and Heidi (John) Freed of Essexville, Robin (Michael) Spagnuolo of Fairgrove, Ashley Myers and Rachel (Jay) Smith of Washington State.Nine great grandchildren: Nathaniel, Victoria and Nicholas Asperger, Autumn Freed, Kelsey and Kyle Spagnuolo, Meagan Myers, Isabella and Chapin Smith. Also many nieces and nephews.Preceding her in death besides her parents and husband are two sons, Gary and Larry and one brother, Stanley Mac Farlane. For many years she vacationed in Florida and Arizona. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed working in her yard and garden, knitted and crocheted and enjoyed being with her family. Family will receive friends on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home, 5027 McLuney Street in Fairgrove, and at the Fairgrove Presbyterian Church, 5040 Maple Street, Fairgrove, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m., burial will follow in the Wisner Township Cemetery. Funeral services will be held Tuesday January 8, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fairgrove Presbyterian Church, with Pastor Richard Lawther officiating. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Fairgrove Presbyterian Church or Hospice.
