Obituary of Jay Leroy Kelly

Of Mt. Morris, age 78, died Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. The memorial service will take place 4:00pm, Saturday, February 16, 2008 at the First Baptist Church of Mt. Morris. Pastor Tim Evans will officiate. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the First Baptist Church Building Fund. Envelopes are available at the church. Jay was born July 9, 1929 in Marianna, Pennsylvania. He and Mary Janet Phillipson were united in marriage July 16, 1956. He retired from Fisher Body, Coldwater Rd. in 1980 after 27 years of service as a foreman. Jay enjoyed fishing and working with the Boy Scouts Chapter #322. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 51 years, Janet, four sons; Jay, Charles and Dawn, Bob and Stacey, Ray and Karen, a daughter, Grace and Steve, special grandson, Charles II, 12 grandchildren, one brother and one sister. Jay was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
