Obituary of James Leroy Stanley

Of Alma, formerly of Mt. Morris, age 79, died Friday, February 15, 2008 at Michigan Masonic Pathways in Alma. The funeral service will take place 1:00pm, Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mount Morris. Pastor George will officiate with cremation to follow. Mr. StanleyAaas family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00am until the time of service at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Michigan Masonic Pathways. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. James was born June 4, 1928 in Flint, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. Vern and Lena (Skinner) Stanley. He retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. Mr. Stanley is survived by his children; Debbie Stanley, Bruce (Paula) Stanley, Mark (Linda) Stanley, Greg Stanley, Chuckie Stanley and Laura (Megan James) Hoffman; 10 grandchildren; sisters, Viola Bussey and Ione Steele. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Mr. Stanley was preceded in death by his parents and his two former wives, Susie and Delilah.
