Obituary of William Richard Crawford

Age 73, of Mt. Morris, died at home Friday, August 7, 2020, with his family by his side. A private burial will take place at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be shared on Bill’s tribute page at martinfuneralhome.com.  

Bill was born in Harbor Springs, Michigan, on April 6, 1947.  Bill graduated from Harbor Springs High School with the Class of 1967. In 1968, Bill heeded the call to serve his country in the United States Army for two years, earning his honorable discharge in 1970. Bill met and married the love of his life, Pamela Davis, on June 2, 1986, in Norfolk, Virginia. Bill worked for General Motors Truck & Bus for 30 years until his retirement in 2000. He was a member of UAW Local #598.  Entering retirement at the age of 50, Bill stated, “now he could enjoy his life.” In his free time, Bill enjoyed hunting with his nephews, fishing, golfing at Beechwood Greens Golf Course, and playing Euchre several nights a week. He also enjoyed spending time with his wonderful wife and his dog, Rowdy.

Left to cherish Bill’s memory are his wife of 34 years, Pamela; daughter, Karrie Crawford; sisters: Penny Browning and Robin McFarland; and several nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Dennis Crawford, Gerry Crawford and Gordon McFarland, Jr.; sister, Jeanette Werden.
