Obituary of Helen Scott

Of Clio, age 90, passed away Friday, March 7, 2008 at Tendercare of Frankenmuth. Mass of Christian Burial will take place 10:30am, Monday, March 10, 2008 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. HelenAaas family will be present to receive friends and family at the Miles Martin Funeral Home on Sunday from 12:00 noon until 8:00 pm. On Sunday, family, friends and parish will gather at the funeral home for a Scriptural Rosary at 2:00 pm. On Monday morning, Helen will be taken to church to lie in state from 9:30am until the time of Funeral Mass at 10:30am. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. MaryAaas Church in memory of Helen. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. HelenAaas family would like to extend a special thanks to Tendercare of Frankenmuth for all the loving compassion shown toward Helen, and to her granddaughter and son-in-law, Debbie Scott and William Janni for taking such wonderful care of Helen in her last years. Helen was born November 30, 1917 in Gladwin, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank and Vera (Bentley) Auer. She and Archibald Scott were united in marriage on December 13, 1935. Helen was a dedicated worker at Sears and worked in the Shoe Department for over 35 years. Left to cherish Helen's memory are her children, Archie (Barbara) Scott and Vera (William) Janni; grandchildren, Dennis Scott, Debbie Scott, Sheri (David) Tufford, Gene (Lori) Brewer, David (Patty) Brewer and Jill Sohn; nine great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sisters, Theresa Hess of Gladwin and Vera Darley of Clio and brother, James Auer of Gladwin. Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband, Archibald, her parents; two sisters and two brothers.
