Of Clio, age 101, died Monday, January 11, 2010 at MediLodge of Montrose. As Olive requested a private family service and cremation has taken place with burial to follow in Mt. Morris Cemetery. Olive Esther Sorenson (Schofield) was born August 27, 1908 in Commerce, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry and Rosanna (Simmons) Schofield. She and L.P. AaA"PeteAaA were united in marriage in 1926 in Durand, Michigan. She lived in the Flint area most of her life. Pete retired in 1966 from General Motors after 41 years. He preceded her in death on January 29, 1990. Olive worked at AC for a short time and spent several years in retail. In her early years she enjoyed playing piano, organ, crossword & jigsaw puzzles, watching sports on TV, getting together with her friends, most of all she enjoyed spending time outdoors with her flowers. Olive leaves to cherish her memory daughter Cheryl Dorman (Leon); grandchildren Angela Ball (Terry), Chad Dorman and fiancee Karma LaVelle; several nieces and nephews. Olive was preceded in death by her parents, husband L.P.(Pete), daughter Gloria Jean Sorenson, brothers; Bill (Frankie) Schofield and Les (Louise) Schofield, sisters; Sadie ( Hugh) Larkin, Rosetta (Charles) Ridley, Ella (Eric) Reed and nearly all her friends. To the special people at MediLodge of Montrose who had become OliveAaas extended family-thank you for all the love you gave her.
