Obituary of Norma Jean Cascaddan

Of Flint, age 73, died Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at Hurley Medical Center. The funeral service will take place at 2:00pm, Saturday, April 5, 2008 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mount Morris. Burial will follow in Flint Memorial Park. Norma's family will be present to receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris on Thursday from 6:00pm until 9:00pm, Friday from 2:00pm until 8:00pm and again on Saturday from 1:00pm until the time of service at 2:00pm. Those desiring, may direct memorial contributions to the National Emphysema/COPD Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Norma was born September 2, 1934 in Drift, Kentucky the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul and Grace (Castle) Fraley. She and Robert H. Sheppard were united in marriage in 1953. She later married Howard Cascaddan in 1993. Norma worked for the Genesee County Parks and Recreation as a Maintenance Supervisor for ten years and also loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was well loved by any and all that met her and will be dearly missed by all. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Robert Sheppard, Twila Ragan, Paul Sheppard and Debi (Kelly) Saunders; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, four sisters, one brother and her very loving dog, Hershey. Norma was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands, one brother and several sisters.
