Obituary of Jack Keith Benson

Of Fairgrove, age 80, died Saturday, April 12, 2008 at BrianAaas House in Bay City. Jack was born March 25, 1928 in Fairgrove, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen and Anna (Kosa) Benson. He proudly served our country during the Korean Conflict in Alaska and was currently a charter member of the V.F.W. of Fairgrove. Jack retired from General Motors, Nodular Foundry in Saginaw in 1986. He was a loving man who was full of life and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Jack will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Jacklynn (Russell) Bissonette; granddaughter, Rebecca; sisters, Dorothy (Jim) Bliss and Lottie (Don) Mautren; brother-in-law, Fuzz Coleman; sister-in-law, Joyce Benson and special nephew and best pal, Delbert (Mary) Benson. Jack is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Jack was preceded in death by his parents and brothers and sisters, Mary Frye, Kenneth Benson, Addie Coleman and Buster Benson. The funeral service will take place at 11:00am on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at the Martin Funeral Home in Fairgrove with cremation to follow. JackAaas family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3:00pm until 8:00pm and again on Wednesday from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am. On Tuesday evening, a prayer service will be held at 7:00pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to BrianAaas House or to the Fairgrove V.F.W.
