Obituary of Willard C. Pinney

Age 86, of Mt. Morris, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 25, 2008 at his daughterAaas residence. WillardAaas funeral service will take place at 10:00 am on Monday, April 28, 2008 at the First Baptist Church of Mt. Morris with Pastor Ray Gimmi officiating. Burial will follow at Flint Memorial Park. WillardAaas family will be present to receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris on Sunday from 12:00 noon until 6:00 pm. On Monday morning, Willard will be taken to church to lie in state from 9:00 am until the time of service at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the First Baptist Church of Mt. Morris or the American Diabetes Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Willard was born on January 19, 1922 in Flint, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hubert and Daisy (Chew) Pinney. Willard and Mabel Pinney were united in marriage on May 20, 1944 in Ohio. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mt. Morris where he was involved with the youth and also sang in the choir. Willard also kept busy with the CCC and was very active with the boy scouts. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Jack C. Pinney, Sarah Novak, Vaughn Pinney, Val (William) Carah and Dawn (Art) Murphy and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Willard is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Willard was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Mabel and many brothers and sisters.
