Obituary of Nancy Ann Guest
Nancy Ann, age 79, of Mt. Morris, passed away Monday, January 28, 2019, at Angel Manor, with her family by her side. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 1, 2019, at 11:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Roy Horning will officiate, with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris, on Thursday, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. On Friday, Nancy will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00 am until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am.
Nancy was born in Flint, Michigan, on March 2, 1939, the daughter of Werner and Viola (Chaput) Mantei. She and George Guest Sr. were united in marriage on September 20, 1958, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, in Mt. Morris. Sadly, he preceded her in death on April 27, 2011. Nancy was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She enjoyed her pets and doing crafts.
Nancy leaves to cherish her memory three sons: Michael and wife, Pam Guest, George Guest Jr., and John Guest; daughter: Theresa and husband, Thomas Moody; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers: John and wife, Donna Mantei and Werner Mantei; sister: Freda and husband, Phil Beckley; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; daughter-in-law, Mary; and grandson, John Matthew
