Obituary of James Michael Petersen
Age 59, of Oklahoma City, formerly of Mount Morris, died Friday, January 4, 2019, at The Veterans Affairs Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Funeral Service will take place on 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 19, 2019, at Martin Funeral, Cremation, and Tribute Services of Mount Morris, with private burial to follow. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:30 pm until the time of service at 2:00 pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the First Baptist Church of Mt. Morris. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
James was born in Flint, the son of Mr. Syend Petersen and Mrs. Dolores (Herriman) Petersen. In high school, he played football and earned a varsity letter for his achievements.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving mother, Dolores; children: Michael Petersen, Melissa Petersen, brothers, and sisters: Jane LaVictoire, John Petersen, Jeffery Petersen; aunt Jane Galens and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father.
