Obituary of Rachelle Dawn Cox
Rachelle Dawn Cox, age 35, of Burton, died Monday, July 30, 2018, with her sister Kim by her side. The funeral service will take place at the First Baptist Church of Mt. Morris at 1:00 pm, Monday, August 6, 2018, Pastor Kevin Dixson to officiate with burial to follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Rachelle’s family will be present at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris, on Sunday, from 12:00 noon until 8:00 pm. On Monday morning, Rachelle will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the family’s wishes. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church.
Rachelle was born on March 8, 1983, in Flint, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Burton and Wahnetah (Neumann) Cox. Rachelle was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her two sons, Jordan and Kamden. She loved attending their sporting events and cheering them on. In her free time, Rachelle also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going to garage sales, and listening to music.
Left to cherish her memory are her two sons: Jordan Cox, and Kamden Jihad; siblings: Kerrie and husband, Daniel Acevedo, Wahnetah Deloney, Terri and husband, Harry Brink, Ardele (Cox) and husband Garett Uplegger, Connie Cox, Lisa Manson, Gordon Cox, and Danny Cox; special nieces: Sarah Blasdell, Nikki Hays, and Danielle Mitchell; special friend, Melissa Egan; and many other nieces, nephews, and family members.
Rachelle was preceded in death by her father, Burton Guy Cox; and her nephew Kennard Radford, III.
