James Hummel Sr.
Of Flushing formerly of Clio, age 71, died Monday, June 9, 2008 at his home. The funeral service will take place 11:00am, Thursday, June 12, 2008 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mount Morris with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park with full Military Honors. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00am to 8:00pm. Memorial donations may be considered to a family fund, envelopes are available at the funeral home.
James was born November 27, 1936 in Flint, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. Stewart and Esther (Schuba) Hummel. He and Marie Edgar were united in marriage on September 30, 1960 in Flint. He served in the United States Airforce. Jim was employed at General Motors working at Fisher Body I and Buick City. He was an active member of the Mt. Morris Athletic Boosters.
Jim leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 48 years Marie, 3 sons Jeffery AaA"CarlAaA and wife Lana, Joseph and wife Lynn and James Jr. and wife Deanna, 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, brother Jerry and wife Margitta Hummel, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters.
