Obituary of Richmond Cyrus Taylor

Of Coleman, formerly of Flushing, age 72, died Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at home. A Memorial Luncheon will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at 2:00pm at the American Legion Post # 64 4314 West Carpenter Road in Flint. Memorial donations may be considered to the American Cancer Society, envelopes are available at the luncheon. Richmond AaA"CyAaA was born April 21, 1936 in Midland, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas and Doris (Jeuers) Taylor. He and Carol Sue Taylor were united in marriage October 9, 1976 in Mt. Morris. Cy worked for Taylor Poured Walls and Fessler and Bowman. He proudly served his country in Korea, and was a member of the American Legion Post # 342 and the 40 et 8 Chateau Voiture. He was also a member of the VFW Post # 14000. Cy enjoyed hunting throughout northern Michigan. Cy leaves to cherish his memory his wife Carol Sue, 11 children: Joann and husband Bob Windisch, of FL, Cheryl and husband Brian Griffith, of MO, Richard and wife Kim Taylor of Clio, Michael and wife Laura Taylor of Flushing, Edward Taylor, of Mt. Morris, Margot Lynn Taylor, of FL, Leora Green, of FL, Deora Lynn and husband Steve Powers, of FL, Richmond Jr. and wife Raquel Taylor, of FL, Elizabeth and husband Dain Nott, of DE, and William Taylor, of FL, 21 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 3 brothers Charles and wife Yvonne Taylor, of Mt. Morris, Sam and wife Arlis Abdella, of Davison, and Gary Abdella, 3 sisters, Phyllis and husband Maurce Lucy, of Flint, Peggy and husband Bill Longstreth, of FL, and Carol and husband Buckey Alder of Fenton, many nieces nephews, and special friends Frank Pischel, of Lake City, and Bob Babcock, of Coleman. He was preceded in death by parents, and 2 brothers Frank and Tim.
