IRVING, Mary I. (Grandma Finateri) Of Mt. Morris, age 80, died Thursday, July 31, 2008 at home. The Funeral Mass will take place 11:00 am ,Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau will officiate, cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends at St. Mary Catholic Church on Wednesday from 10:00am until time of Mass at 11:00am only. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Envelopes are available at the church. Mary was born October 7, 1927 in Bay City, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry and Gladys (Newcomb) Volders. Mary graduated from All Saints High School in Flint and later earned her RN degree from Kalamazoo College. She was employed by St. JosephAaas Hospital and Dr. Campbell Cutler Office. Mary was married to Leo F. Irving who preceded her in death. MaryAaas life was dedicated to many loving family, friends, and neighbors, as she prayed and was devoted to Mother Theresa. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, baking, and watching her grandchildren play hockey and baseball. She was an avid Notre Dame and Detroit Red Wing fan. Mary leaves to cherish her memory six children: Christine Finateri and husband William Lundy, Bradley and wife Sandy Irving, Michael Irving, Catherine and husband Darren Cline, Mary Hobson, and Joseph Irving, many grandchildren, one great granddaughter, three brothers Cass Curran, (deceased) , and Mary Issac , Joe Curran and Al and wife Estela Perry, great aunt Christina (Nana) Newcomb, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
