Of Flint, age 84, died Friday, January 22, 2010 at Avalon Hospice. Cremation has taken place. Private burial will be at Flint Memorial Park.
Hope was born June 17, 1925 in Cadillac, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kristian and Ethlen (Good) Mickelson.
Hope leaves to cherish her memory four daughters, Antonia and husband Robert Elliott, of Carrollton, Michigan, Bethany and husband Leon Bowers, of Kennett, Missouri, Judy and husband Bobby Benson of Kimberling City, Missouri, and Sheryl and husband Walter Lonsway, of Rose City, Michigan, son Chris Berry, of Flint, Michigan, 14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter, and nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John Vargo, infant son, and brothers and sisters.
