Dr. William Webber Griffin, age 96 of Mt. Morris died at home on Thursday, August 21, 2008. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at 2:00pm at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home on Friday from 12:00 noon until 8:00 pm, and on Saturday from 12:00 noon until time of service at 2:00pm. Memorial donations may be considered to the Humane Society, envelopes are available at the funeral home. William was born November 10, 1911 in Saginaw, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard L. and Della M. (Webber) Griffin. He and Amy Thomas were united in marriage August 7, 1933; she preceded him in death, March 3, 1972. He and Josephine Fullmer were united in marriage on September 15, 1972, and she preceded him in death in September 2004. William was in private chiropractic practice for 50 years. He owned and operated Griffin Chiropractic Clinic in Mt. Morris, and was a member of the Michigan State Chiropractic Association, and the American Chiropractic Association. He was also active in the Mt. Morris Community with the Kiwanis Club, Business MenAaas Club, and Lions Club. William leaves to cherish his memory his two daughters Dorothy Kay and husband Tommy Lindsey, and Mary Beth and husband Norm Tate, 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and caregiver and friend Liz. He was preceded in death by his parents, two wives, daughter Helen Arneson, and son William W. Griffin II.
