SHAW, David B. Of Mt. Morris, and summer resident of Mackinac Island, age 53, died unexpectedly Monday, December 1, 2008. Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00am, Friday, December 5, 2008 at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Francis Faraci will officiate with burial to follow in Thetford Township Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home on Thursday from 11:00am to 8:00pm. On Thursday evening, family and friends will gather at the funeral home to pray the Rosary at 7:00pm. On Friday morning, David will be taken to church where he will lie in state from 10:00am until time of service at 11:00am. Memorial contributions may be made to the Family Fund for his daughters education. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. David was born May 7, 1955 in Nashville, Tennessee, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald and Corinne (Taylor) Shaw. He and Mary Kujawa were united in marriage September 19, 1987, in Mt. Morris. David worked as a Stock Broker for Prudential Securities in Flint and as a Financial Advisor in Bloomfield Hills. He spent part of his career as a Master Plumber in Nashville and Detroit. David leaves to cherish his memory his wife Mary, two daughters Jana and Sierra, parents Donald and Corinne Shaw, and many special aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister Jeanette.
