Obituary of Sarah Jane Bobzien

Of St. Louis, formally of Fairgrove age, 33, passed away at her home on February 3, 2009. Sarah was born March 20, 1975, in Saginaw; the daughter of Duane and Christine (Mark) Hickey. She was a 1993 graduate of Akron-Fairgrove High School and received her RN Degree from Delta College in 1999. Sarah married Jason Bobzien on September 28, 2002 in the Fairgrove Presbyterian Church. They were owners of The Friendly Tavern in St. Louis, Michigan. Sarah enjoyed camping and spending time on the water. She loved animals, especially her Cat Gordon. She leaves to cherish her memory husband Jason, father Duane and wife Patrese Hickey, father-in-law Robert and wife Beth Bobzien, mother-in-law Karen and husband Mike Humphrey, sister Robin and husband John Esteb, sister-in-law Tina and Nick Pitcher, two step-brothers Brian and David Dell, two nephews; Scott Esteb and Ethan Dell three nieces; Ava Esteb, Maddison Dell and Myah Pitcher, several aunts, uncles and cousins. Sarah was preceded in death by her mother Christine (Mark) Hickey, grandparents; Foster and wife Norinne Hickey, Leach and wife Millie Mark. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, at the Fairgrove Presbyterian Church at 11:00am. Pastor Richard Lawther will officiate, with Cremation to follow. Sarah will be laid to rest next to her mother in Brookside Cemetery. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the Fairgrove Presbyterian Church envelopes are available at the church.
