Obituary of Dana E. Meyer
Age 52, of Blissfield and Ann Arbor, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 26, 2017, at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. Family and friends will gather in her honor at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, August 29, 2017, to pray the Rosary at Nie Family Funeral Home, 2400 Carpenter Rd. in Ann Arbor. Dana’s family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Monday and Tuesday from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Dana was born December 9, 1964, in Ann Arbor, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Orville and Connie (McNulty) Meyer. Educated locally, Dana would graduate from the Milan School System and receive her Master’s Degree in business. As a young woman, she heeded the call of her country, enlisting in the United States Navy, serving from 1983 until her honorable discharge in 1989. In her free time, Dana could be found camping and kayaking. She will be truly missed.
Left to cherish her memory are, her partner, Anne Spiegel and her children: Dustin, BreAnna, Jason, and granddaughter Harper, brothers and sisters: Mark Meyer and Kendra Zapton, Craig and wife Jill Meyer, Karen Hamilton, Barry and wife, Sheila Meyer and Jerry Meyer and partner, Brian Surian, sister-in-law: Gretchen Meyer, special brother: David Hwang, nieces and nephews: Katie, Maria, Trevor, Jayne, Greg, Michael, Robert, Chelsea, Courtney, and Cassidy and many cousins and friends,
Dana was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jeff.
