Obituary of Autumn T. Monette

Age 19, of Goodrich, passed away May 1, 2017, at Hurley Medical Center in Flint, Michigan. A celebration of her life will take place 10:00 am, Monday, May 8, 2017, at The River Church in Goodrich. Pastor Jim Combs will officiate with cremation to follow. Autumn’s family will be present to receive friends at the Martin Funeral, Cremation and Tribute Service in Grand Blanc on Sunday from 12:00 pm until 8:00 pm. On Monday morning, Autumn will be taken to the church to lie in state from 9:00 am until the time of service at 10:00 am. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to The River Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church.

Autumn was born December 4, 1997, in Flint. She was educated locally through the Goodrich School System, attended Goodrich High School, where she was active as a cheerleader and playing volleyball. Autumn was a member of The River Church in Goodrich and always enjoyed spending time in Lake St. Helen, Michigan with her family.

Left to cherish her memory are: her father, Ron Monette and his fiancé, Jennifer Derosia, her mother, Crystal Knapp, sisters, Gabrielle and husband, Kyle Smith, Lois Will and Diana Inloes, grandmother, Judy, and husband, Mac Layne, grandfather, Ron, Sr. and wife, Diane Monette, aunts and uncles, Melissa and husband, Brandon Birmingham, Denise and husband, Tom Russell, Michael Pickard, David Layne, Sara and husband, Chuck Abbey, Katrina and husband, Ken Campbell, Matt and wife, Mary Monette and Shaun and wife, Ann Marie Monette, and many beloved cousins and close friends.

Autumn was preceded in death by her cousin, Jake Knapp.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Hurley Medical Center for the care and compassion shown to them over the past week and to Gift of Life Michigan. As it was Autumn’s wish to be a donor, her selfless gift to others will be her legacy continuing in the future.
