Obituary of Bernice Bednarski

Age 89, of Mt. Morris, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2009 at her residence surrounded by her family. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am, Thursday, March 19, 2009 at All Saints Catholic Church, G-4063 W. Pierson Rd., Flint, with celebrant Rev. Fr. Anthony Majchrowski presiding. Burial will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. BerniceAaas family will be present to receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, Wednesday from 11:00am to 3:00pm and again from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. On Wednesday evening, family, friends and parish will gather at the funeral home to pray the Rosary at 8:15pm. In lieu of flowers, masses may be given in her name. Bernice was born October 11, 1919 in Flint to Andrew and Rose (Sydlowski) Blaszkowski. Bernice worked a short time at AC before marrying her beloved husband John Bednarski in 1947. She was a member of All Saints Parish, and of the Altar Society as well as the Rosary Society, where she was a member for over 50 years. Surviving are her son, John A. Bednarski, sister, Mary Cline, brother, Ben Blaszkowski, two grandchildren; Tim (Melanie), and Becky Bednarski, four great-grandchildren; Jacob, Joshua, Johnathon, and Jason Bednarski, as well as close nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, John, two sisters; Frances and Helen Blaszkowski, sister-in-law, Grace Blaszkowski, brother, Frank and his wife Dorothy Blaszkowski, and brother, Stanley Blaszkowski.
