Of Mt. Morris, age 83, died Saturday, March 21, 2009 at BrianAaas House in Davison. The funeral service will take place 2:00pm, Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor Dale Lewis will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. BillAaas family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:00 noon to 4:00pm and again from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Bill was born March 23, 1925 in Caraway, Arkansas the son of Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey and Willie Mae (Roe) Shriner. He and Mildred Otte were united in marriage November 3, 1945. He retired from GM after 30 years of service. Bill was an outdoorsman at heart and took great joy working in his yard, tending to his flower and vegetable gardens and watching the birds and animals. He loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed by them and his many close friends. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Mildred, two sons; Jeffrey Shriner and Doug (Myra) Shriner, daughter, Linda (Ralph) Weible, daughter-in-law, Sandra Shriner, six grandchildren; Melisa (Kevin) Person, Amanda (Jeff) Jarrad, Keith Shriner, Jody (Bill) Paling, Tina Shriner, Heidi (Shaun) Alcodray, 13 great-grandchildren, two sisters; Nan Clark and Betty (Jim) Richardson, and many special friends and extended family members. William was preceded in death by his parents, son, Kenneth in 2000, and his brothers and sisters.
