Obituary of Alice Miller

Of Fairgrove, age 88, died Friday, February 12, 2010 at Huron Woods Nursing Center. The funeral service will take place 11:00am, Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at the Fairgrove Presbyterian Church in Fairgrove. Pastor Richard Lawther will officiate with private burial to follow in Brookside Cemetery. Family will receive friends Tuesday from 2:00pm until 8:00pm and on Wednesday from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the Family fund or Fairgrove Library. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Alice was born November 15, 1921 in Bay Port, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ruben and Marguerite (Kleinfeld) Frank. She and Raymond W. Miller were united in marriage May 1, 1943. Alice worked for over 55 years at the Fairgrove Library and attended the Presbyterian Church of Fairgrove. She was a lifetime member of Michigan Professional Photographers and of the OES-Kedron Chapter, as well as the Fairgrove VFW Auxiliary. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Ann and husband, Ronald Klatt of Fairgrove, Sandy and husband, Michael Schofield of Bay City, Carl and wife, Barbara Miller of Holland, Barbara and husband, Bill Green of Circle, Montana; seven grandchildren, Mark and wife, Stacy Klatt, Scott and wife, Michelle Klatt, Craig, and wife, Denise Schofield, Amy Schofield, Tiffani Miller, Bridget and husband, Colby Louden, Willy and wife, Candace Green; eleven great-grandchildren, Sarah, Paul, Sam, and Melissia Klatt, Michael Schofield and girlfriend, Kellie, Katelyn and Megan Schofield, Brock, Bryce, and Cierra Louden, Kayla Green; one great-great grandchild, Karly Schofield; brothers, Russel and Paul Frank; many nieces, nephews, and friends. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Kathryn Hillaker, and brother, Roger Frank.
