Obituary of Josephine Darley

Of Clio, age 82, died Sunday, May 10, 2009 at home. The funeral service will take place 11:00am, Friday, May 15, 2009 at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00am until 9:00pm. On Thursday family, friends and parish will gather at the funeral home to pray the Rosary at 6:00pm. In lieu of flowers please direct memorial contributions to the St. Mary Church or School. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Josephine "Jo" was born March 9, 1927 in Sterling, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel and Anna (Trop) Bootz. She and Joseph Darley were united in marriage in 1946. Jo worked at AC Spark Plug in many departments for 30 years before retiring in 1983, and was a member of UAW. JosephineAaas family was most important to her. When she wasnAaat spending time with her family she could be found planting flowers in her garden or on one of her many 8 mile walks. She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Karen and LouAnn; three granddaughters Andrea, Carly, Cortney and her husband Greg Last; sister-in-law, Marie Bootz; many neices, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joseph; six brothers, Joe, Sam, John, Steve, Andy and Stanley; two sisters, Annie and Sophie.
