Obituary of Peggy Jo Carranza

Of Mount Morris, age 53, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2009 at her home. The funeral service will take place 2:00pm, Saturday, June 6, 2009, at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Cremation to follow. Family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm and Saturday from 11:00am until the time of service at 2:00pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society or Avalon Hospice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Peggy was born July 26, 1955 in Jonesboro, Arkansas, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James and Eva (Smith) Harris. She and Johnnie Carranza were united in marriage September 27, 1974. He preceded her in death May 1, 2008. PeggyAaas passion in life was always being there for her family. She also enjoyed trips to the casino and will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish her memory are her children; Selena (Troy), Johnnie, Jr. and Angela (Deondra) Carranza, grandchildren; Alexis, Jayson, Deondra, Deontae and Johnathon, sister, Pat Peters of Clio, and many family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister, Stacey.
