Obituary of Doug Beatenhead

Of Mt. Morris, age 65, died Thursday, June 11, 2009 at Hurley Medical Center. The funeral service will take place 2:00pm, Monday, June 15, 2009 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor Dave Burkett will officiate with cremation to follow. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, from 12:30pm until 8:00pm and Monday, from 10:00am until time of service at 2:00pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the family fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Doug was born October 30, 1943 in Flint, Michigan. Doug worked for General Motors for 30 years before retiring in the 1990Aaas, he was also a member of UAW Local #599. He was a loving, caring and giving man that enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Doug leaves to cherish his memory, his two children; Matt, James (Cindy), daughter-in-law, Tricia, three grandchildren; Gary II, Brian and Ashley, one great-granddaughter, Nyiah, extended grandchildren; Zachary, Taylor, Joseph and Mariah, his brothers and sisters and many nieces, nephews and friends. Doug was preceded in death by his parents, and his son, Gary I, and his brother, Marvin.
