Obituary of Doris Byron

Of Flint, age 64, died Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at Hurley Medical Center. The funeral service will take place 1:00pm, Monday, March 22, 2010 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Burton Ward in Flint. Bishop Todd Anderson will officiate with burial to follow in Corvallis Cemetery, Montana. Family will receive friends on Sunday at the funeral home from 4:00pm until 7:00pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the Family Fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Doris was born November 21, 1945 in Dobbs Ferry, New York, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur and Mildred (O'Brien) Paterson. She and Edward Byron were united in marriage August 10, 1970. Doris loved working with children; she and Edward were foster parents to 34 children. She was also a lifetime Girl Scout. Doris leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 40 years, Edward; children, Debra Hunt, Beth Byron, Becky Byron, Ted Byron, Vanessa Byron; seven grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and friends; two cats. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, John Byron; brother, Don Paterson; nephew, Philip Paterson.
