Obituary of Gordon Lince

Of Mt. Morris, age 81, passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2010. The funeral service will take place 2:00pm, Saturday, April 17, 2010 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor Erwin Saultman will officiate with Graveside Military Honors conducted by American Legion Post #158 in Flint Memorial Park. GordonAaas family will be at the funeral home to receive friends on Friday, from 1:00pm until 9:00pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the Ronald McDonald House. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Gordon drove school bus for Mt. Morris Schools for 16 years and enjoyed his Skilled Trades position with General Motors, (Buick) for 52 years, retiring in August of 2000. Gordon was born September 17, 1928 in Flint, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert and Edna (Lewis) Lince. He married his true love, Jeanette D. McKay on December 23, 1950, sharing a wonderful life together until her death in 1991. Remaining to cherish their memory are children, Linda Wright, Gary (Sandy) Lince, and Larry (Jennifer) Lince; grandchildren, Daryl Wright, Erik (Meg) Lince, Stacie (Eric) Farnsworth, Steve Lince, and Gina (Jason) Hodgins; great-granddaughter, Kalyn Hodgins; sister, Edna Roth; and loving nieces and nephews. Gordon will be missed by all of his family and friends, including many friends at the three McDonaldAaas around the area where he enjoyed coffee and shared laughs and grins. He was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy; and brothers, Clifford, Earl (Louie), and Lester (Tom) Lince.
