Obituary of Ida Mae Harris

Of Mt Morris, age 77, died Saturday, May 1, 2010 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. The funeral service will take place 1:00pm, Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor Gerald Lerche will officiate with burial to follow in Evergreen (Hale) Cemetery, Wednesday May 5, 2010 at 12:00noon. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday May 3, 2010 from 11:00am until 8:00pm and then again on Tuesday from 11:00am until the time of service at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorial contributions to the Family Fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Ida was born December 24, 1932 in Rose City, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sham and Edith (Armstrong) Barber. She and Richard Harris were united in marriage in 1951. Ida was a fighter and greatly enjoyed her plants and flowers. She was always there for her children and grandchildren and she will be missed for her welcomed advice. Ida leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 59 years, Richard; three children, John Harris, Pamela and husband, Robert Daily, Jr., and Teresa and husband, Emil Iverson; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; sister, Thelma Inman of Pontiac, Michigan; many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael Dean Harris; and sister-in-law, Evelyn Moore.
