Obituary of Frances Emily Hurd

Of Flint, age 68, died peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, June 2, 2010. The funeral service will take place 11:00am, Saturday, June 5, 2010 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Gary McGinnis will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, Friday, from 11:00am to 2:00pm and 4:00pm to 8:00pm. On Friday evening, family and friends will gather at the funeral home to pray the Rosary at 6:00pm. On Saturday family and friends will gather at the funeral home from 10:00am until time of service at 11:00am. Memorial contributions may be made to the Genesys Hospice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Frances was born April 17, 1942 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph and Hazel (Seman) Montpas. She and Charles Hurd were united in marriage on August 24, 1963, in Flint. Frances leaves to cherish her memory, three children, Dawn and husband Randy Ross, Theresa and husband Patrick Sanginario, and Daniel V. Hurd, six grandchildren, Stephanie, Charles, Tiffany, Jennifer, Marisa, and Lauren, three great-grandchildren, Kyle, Jacob, and Khloe, three brothers, Dick (Pat) Montpas, Charlie (Jackie) Montpas, and Carl (Mary) Montpas, sister-in-law, Connie Montpas, and many nieces, nephews, and special friends. She was preceded in death and reunited in heaven with her parents, husband Charles, granddaughter Jessica, and brother Michael Montpas.
