She migrated to St. Louis by river boat. After being married to Earl Curry and later Earl Jones, she had five children. Louise always kept busy. She was an Eastern Star, very involved in the Civil Rights movement, and once marched in Washington for Fair Housing. She worked as a Nurse's Aide, and in her spare time devoted her time to charitable organizations. She was a devoted Christian who always put God first in life. She had a love for sewing, needlepoint, crafts, but most of all, spending time with her family. Louise had many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, whom mostly resided in St. Louis, Mo. In 2003, she moved to Flint, Michigan, to live with her daughter and son-in-law, Dorleen and Haywood Johnson and family. Mrs. Curry leaves to cherish her son, Earl Jones, Jr. "PJ"; daughter, Dorleen Johnson; son-in-law, Haywood Johnson; and being a leader of five generations, she also leaves a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and great-great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Earl Curry; Earl Jones; daughter, Annie Pearl Middlebrooks; son, James C. Smith; daughter, Fannie Agnew; daughter-in-law, Queenie Jones; and grandson, Haywood "Vance" Johnson. Special thanks to Grace Hospice and especially, Malinda and Veva. Celebrating a life well lived and loved!
