Obituary of Vina M. Dehner

Vina M. Dehner Of Gladwin, formerly of Mt. Morris, age 95, died Friday, July 10, 2009 at her home. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00am, Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00pm to 8:00pm and Monday from 1:00pm to 8:00pm. On Monday afternoon, family, friends and parish will gather at the funeral home to pray the Rosary at 2:00pm. On Tuesday morning, Vina will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Vina was born May 13, 1914 in Rexton, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Burt and Rose (Courier) Stringer. She and Paul Dwight Dehner were united in marriage February 23, 1935. He preceded her in death January 13, 2006. Vina was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris and a member of the Altar Society there for many years. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, yellow flowers, and most of all her family and friends. She will be greatly missed. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Connie Norris, son, Dwight and wife Kathy Dehner, five grandchildren; Dewey Taylor, Debbie and husband Gil Blasdell, Denise and husband Steve Gruener, Scott and wife Kelly Dehner, and Mike and wife Amy Dehner, nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Vina was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Paul, and seven brothers and sisters.
